EMSUA

The Edmonton Minor Softball Umpires Association (EMSUA) provides umpires to all minor-level league games, tournaments and provincials in the Edmonton area.

The EMSUA's main duty is to cover the regular season and playoff games of the Edmonton Youth Softball Association (EYSA). The EYSA operates a minor softball league, from T-ball to Midget, through the spring months. For more information on the EYSA, visit its website: www.softballedmonton.com

The EMSUA also supplies umpires to numerous tournaments for all age and skill levels during the year, from the Northwest Zone's Mite and Squirt tournament to the Sherwood Park Belles Invitational which covers fast pitch all the way up to Junior Women's.

Beyond the city, EMSUA umpires can be found officiating at numerous provincial championships, as well as various post-provincials including Western Canadian Championships and Canadian Championships. For more information on the EMSUA's 30-year history, click here.

The EMSUA is operated completely through volunteers, from its executive to its fundraisers at its annual Pee Wee tournament. If you'd like to be a part of the association's community efforts, either join as an umpire or contact an executive member to see how you can volunteer.

Do you have any questions about the EMSUA or umpiring in general? If so, check out our Frequently Asked Questions section for answers. If you still have questions, be sure to ask an executive member for help.
