EMSUA Executive


The EMSUA Executive is made up of twelve individuals volunteering their time to develop and promote the game of softball. Below are synopses of each of the Executive Members.

President
Ken Jones joined the EMSUA in 1987 and is currently a level III umpire. Ken was inducted into Softball Canada's Canadian Indicator Club in 2003 for his many contributions to the game of softball, and recently officiated at the 2005 World Masters Games held in Edmonton, Alberta.

1st Vice President
David Triska (Jr) is a level IV umpire and has been a member of the EMSUA since 1997. David officiated the 2005 World Masters Games in Edmonton, Alberta, and has represented the EMSUA at four Western Canadian Championships and two Canadian Championships.

2nd Vice President
John Van Nispen, a member since 1997, is a level IV umpire who recently officiated at the 2007 Midget "A" Boys Canadian Championship in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and previously represented the EMSUA at four Western Canadian Championships.

3rd Vice President
Ric Bishop is a level III umpire and has been with the EMSUA since 1991. Ric has represented the EMSUA at numerous championships, including the 2005 World Masters Games in Edmonton, Alberta, and previously served on the EMSUA Executive as the Second Vice President.

Assigner
David Triska (Sr) is a level III umpire who joined the EMSUA in 1996. David assigns for all tournaments and provincial championships under the EMSUA's watch, in addition to City Championships, and is entrusted with enforcement of the EMSUA's tournament guidelines.

Secretary
Julie Dron is a level II umpire who joined the EMSUA in 2003. Julie has held various Edmonton Youth Softball Association, Northeast Zone Sports Council, and community league executive positions in the past, and currently serves as the Zone 6 District Organizer for Softball Alberta.

Treasurer
Mike Wells is a level III umpire and has been with the EMSUA since 1997. Mike attended the Junior "B" Western Canadian Championship in Strathmore, Alberta, in 2004, and has served on the EMSUA Executive since 2001. He last held the position of Third Vice President.

Northeast Zone Director
Wayne Semeniuk is a level III umpire who joined the EMSUA in 1990. Wayne has represented the EMSUA at many events, most recently the 2006 Alberta Summer Games in Red Deer, and has served on the EMSUA Executive as Northeast Zone Director since 2003.

Northwest Zone Director
Jack Smith is a level IV umpire and has been with the EMSUA since 1993. Jack has attended Western Canadian and Canadian Championships, the 2005 Canada Summer Games, and was the DUIC for the 2006 Pee Wee Western Canadian Championship in Calahoo, Alberta.

Southeast Zone Director
Clayton Bober is a level III umpire who joined the EMSUA in 1992. Clayton spent seven years with the EMSUA before officiating one season in Ottawa and returning to Edmonton in 2000. He has served on the EMSUA Executive in the position of Southeast Zone Director since 2003.

Southwest Zone Director
Robert Kilgannon is a level III umpire who joined the EMSUA in 1995. Robert previously represented the EMSUA at three Western Canadian Championships, the most recent being the 2006 Pee Wee Western Canadian Championship in Calahoo, Alberta.

Past President
Ron Jacobs is a level IV umpire with over 20 years of officiating with the EMSUA, having joined the Association in 1983. Ron has represented the EMSUA at many events over the years, including the 1999 Senior Women's Canadian Championship and the 2005 World Masters Games.
