2003 Workshop
In March, some of the most senior umpires with the EMSUA were given a special one-day workshop with three exceptional officials. Frank Omoe (level 5), Cliff Whitford (level 5) and Terry Richter (level 4) joined 20 EMSUA umpires to introduce new mechanics and refine old moves. Refreshers in positioning, illegal pitches, and plate mechanics were emphasized as the EMSUA umpires prepared to instruct at their 2003 clinic.
