Blue Convention 2005
During the last weekend in March and through the efforts of the two local branches, Calgary became host to the fifth biannual Blue Convention. Umpires came from coast to coast to learn new rules, update mechanics and renew friendships. Thirty umpires were inducted into the Canadian Indicator Club and four VIP umpires were honoured at the Sunday breakfast. Guests included ISF UIC Merle Butler, ISF Deputy Director of Training Henry Pollard and keynote speaker Emily Alexander of the ASA. Look for the next Blue Convention in 2007 hosted by Québec.
