Level I to Level II
To achieve a certification for Level II, the following steps need to be taken.

To move on to Level II, one must be a certified Level I umpire for a minimum of one year and be 16 years of age.
|
|
|
Attend a Level II clinic and obtain a mark of 70% or higher on the Level II certification exam.
|
|
|
To complete the Level II certification process, an umpire must receive at least one successful Level II local evaluation. In the EMSUA, umpires are evaluated each year at the annual EMSUA Umpires' Tournament in May.
|
|
|
Level II allows an umpire to officiate local and provincial/territorial minor softball, and local adult softball.
To maintain this designation, an umpire must attend a Level II clinic once every two years as well as obtain a mark of 70% or higher on the Level II certification exam each year.
