Provincial/Territorial Evaluation:

|
To complete the Level III certification process, an umpire must receive at least one successful Level III provincial/territorial championship evaluation. In Alberta, the three possible fast pitch events are the Bantam "A" Girls, the Open Men's and the Intermediate "B" and "C" Men's provincial championships. The slo-pitch events in Alberta are the Co-Ed, Master Men's & Women's, Senior Women's and Senior Men's provincial championships.

A Level III designation allows an umpire to officiate provincial/territorial minor and adult softball, as well as qualifies one to officiate at Midget FP, Junior Women's FP, Masters' 40+ SP, Senior Women's SP and Co-Ed SP Canadian Championships.
To maintain this designation, an umpire must attend a Level III clinic every year and obtain a mark of 80% or higher on the Level III certification exam each year.
