Attend an ISF International Umpire Seminar within three years of receiving Softball Canada Level V certification, and obtain a mark of 90% or higher on the ISF International Umpire certification exam. Further, the umpire must receive a successful ISF on field evaluation while at the seminar. If ISF certification is not achieved, the umpire must reapply to attend another ISF International Umpire Seminar within three years of the initial seminar.

A Level V designation allows one to officiate international and national softball events, as well as to supervise Canadian Championships.
To maintain this designation, an umpire must obtain a mark of 90% or higher on the national Level V certification exam each year. Further, the umpire must be active in provincial/territorial and national officiating programs, and ODC development. The umpire must also complete ISF re-certification as required, submit yearly self-evaluation reports to the National Officiating Development Committee and contribute an article to Between The Lines every three years.
